Leistritz is the first address when it comes to the application of screw pumps. After all, the company, with its headquarters in Nuremberg, is one of the pioneers in the field of screw pumps: 90 years ago, it was Paul
Leistritz, who used the twin screw pump for the first time to pump lube oil for steam turbine bearings.

What started out small in 1924 is now a globally active company with more than 300 employees, which has the widest product range in the field of screw pumps.

From automotive to shipbuilding to the chemical or oil and gas industry - we know the pump requirements in numerous applications.

Fluid pumps

With the modular structure of our pump ranges, we are able to fulfill a wide range of different pumping tasks. Our pumps are two, three or five-spindle, single or double-volute, self-priming displacement pumps for the low / medium or high-pressure range. They are used to pump a wide variety of different fluids with various lubrication properties.

In order to meet the high demands on wear protection, service life or flow rate, it requires a high vertical range of manufacture. We manufacture our spindles and housings (the core elements of Leistritz pumps) ourselves in Germany.

Multiphase ­pumps & systems

Leistritz Multiphase pump systems are in operation worldwide. They are designed for running with high gas volume fractions (GVF) and gas bubbles with up to 100% gas content as well as for capacities of up to 5,000 m³/h and differential pressures of up to 150 bar. In comparison with traditional upstream installations, multiphase pumps need neither space-intensive separation devices at the borehole nor separate pumps, compressors or pipelines to transport gas and fluid to the central collection areas.

  • Copes with high gas concentrations (GVF) up to 100%
  • Facilitates direct pumping through only one pipeline

Multiphase pumps are a cost-effective technology for the transportation of multiphase fluids using just a single pipeline - instead of separating the oil, water and gas at the collection areas and exporting the oil and gas to the central production facilities via separate pipelines. In general, multiphase pumps are a way to accelerate the unprocessed gas/fluid mixture. They also allow  to transport these mixtures over large distances without phase separation beforehand. Separators, crude oil refining facilities, pumps, compressors and storage tanks at the collection area for the oil fields become superfluous thanks to the direct pumping of the multiphase fluid to central processing facilities.

Fuel systems

The fuel systems division specializes in the development and production of serial products. Two main products are produced and sold: fuel pumps which are used in vehicles and flow meters in fuel dispensers which work on the screw spindle principle. Both products meet the high requirements demanded by the automotive and tank facility industries with regard to performance, accuracy and quality.
