From 18 to 20 June 2019, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, was once again the centre of the Asian oil, gas and petrochemical industries. At the 17th OGA (Oil & Gas Asia) around 2,000 companies from 60 countries presented their latest technologies and machinery. Of course, the pump team from Leistritz SEA in Singapore was also there.
Showcasing multiphase pumps
At their stand in the German Pavilion, they presented their pump know-how, especially in the field of multi-phase pump systems. These systems are based on the technology of the double-volute twin screw pump. Flow rates of up to 5,000 m³/h and differential pressures of up to 150 bar are possible here. They can work with variable suction pressure and high gas concentrations (GVF) of up to 100%. "Operators of oil platforms are convinced of this cost-efficient technology", says Candice Tay, Head of Business Unit Pumps at Leistritz SEA. "Instead of separating oil, water and gases directly at the oil well and exporting them through separate pipelines to the central production plants, this is done in a single pipeline."
High attendance at the stand
OGA 2019 has proven to be a particularly valuable platform for Leistritz: Customers were met, new projects were initiated - and last but not least the Malaysian Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng was welcomed at the stand. "He was very interested in our technology, which I explained to him using a model", proudly says Candice Tay. "That was a great honor for us."
